This tour gives you the option to explore two important historical sites:

*** Aphrodisias – named after Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love and once a famous school of marble sculpture due to its close proximity to a marble quarry. It also takes you to see the famous Red Springs in the nearby town of Karahayit whose waters are of an intense red color due to the high iron content in the water.

***The World Heritage-listed site of Hierapolis which was an ancient Roman spa town, and Pamukkale’s famous White travertines {calcium pools}. Notable sites in Hierapolis include its Necropolis – one of the best-preserved examples in Anatolia with 1200 tombs including Roman sarcophagi, burial chambers and complex burial grounds from early Christian times. It also has a large, well-preserved theatre.
